How to use Lonsdor K518ISE to add smard key for BYD

One question from OBDexpress customer :

Hello ,Can k518 key master add key for BYD?How to do?If k518ise can do it ,i will order.

Solution:

If you add key for BYD, K518ISE won't ask for Pin code. 

If you program new keys when all keys lost, it requires 16-bit pin code, and if you need to change IK box, please ensure you have,15-bit repair code at the same time. For the 16-bit pin code, read out the key data and go for BYD service center to calculate. Procedure: Open K518ISE, click on IMMO -> BYD-> smart key-> G3- read key data, put the original new key close to the Start button and follow the prompt the read out the key data then send it to the professional locksmith or BYD service center. After that you use the pin code to program new key.

How to program new smart keys to Ford Everest when all keys are lost?

Main steps:

Step 1 Require at least 2 keys
Step 2 Ignition OFF and Open and close the door on the driver side
Step 3 Lonsdor k518ISE reads out vehicle info, current key number, PIN codes
Step 4 Put a new smart key into the slot (sensor area) and press the START button
Sensor area:
- Central armrest box
- Cup holder
Step 5 Lonsdor is programming the first new smat key, then put the second one into the slot and press START button
Step 6 Lonsdor continues to program the second. And recognize the programmed key number.
New keys programming completed.

This steps guide of  how to use  Lonsdor K518 key programmer program VW Polo 2009 4th IMMO NEC+24C32 Key via OBD.

Key information:

Original key: 3-button folding remote key

Frequency: 433MHz

Chip type: Special ID48 chip (TP23)

Device to program: Lonsdor K518ISE key programmer

Procedure:

Connect K518 host with vehicle via OBD diagnostic socket

Select Immobilizer->VAG->4th Immobilizer->Identify Immo type

Lonsdor K518 identified immo type: 4th IMMO

K518 detect vehicle part number and immo type

Select NEC 24C32

Then Backup EEPROM and save data

Select Read Immobilizer data

Lonsdor K518ISE read vehicle information: VIN, CS, PIN, key number and key ID

Select Make Dealer Key

Push card slot on K518 main unit from right direction

Insert new key to be programmed into card slot

Select Key Learn

Procedure:

Select Odometer adjustment function on main menu
